General terms and conditions for courses
1. General
The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between 2protect GmbH, hereinafter referred to as schiesskurs.ch, and the course participants, hereinafter referred to as course participants.
2. Terms and Conditions of Participation
- The minimum age for participation in the courses is 18 years. Participation from the age of 16 is possible, provided a parent or guardian is present for active participation.
- Anyone with a prior conviction for offenses against life or limb will not be admitted to the courses. A criminal record extract, no more than 3 months old, or a firearms acquisition permit, no more than 6 months old, must be submitted before the course begins.
- Citizens of Albania, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Turkey are not permitted to participate in the course (see Swiss Weapons Act). (As of April 2024)
3. Course Exclusion
- Kursteilnehmer, die falsche Angaben machen, relevante Tatsachen verschweigen, die Sicherheit aller Anwesenden gefährden oder sich ungebührlich verhalten, können sofort vom Kurs ausgeschlossen werden. Eine Rückerstattung der Kursgebühr ist in diesem Fall ausgeschlossen.
- Participants are strictly prohibited from being under the influence of medications that could endanger the safety of other participants and instructors, as well as narcotics or alcohol. Suspected cases will result in immediate exclusion from the course.
4. Contract
Course registrations are processed in the order they are received. A contract for a course is formed upon timely registration and confirmation or invoicing by schiesskurs.ch. Registration obligates the participant to attend the entire course. Every course registration, including those on the waiting list, is binding.
5. Payment terms
Die Kursgebühr muss immer im Voraus beglichen werden. Verschiedene online Zahlungsmöglichkeiten (TWINT, Mastercard, Visa, Postfinance) sowie Vorauskasse per QR-Rechnung für die Schweiz und Banküberweisung vom Ausland sind möglich. Der geschuldete Betrag ist bis spätestens 2 Tagen nach Buchungseingang zu begleichen. Teilzahlungen sind ausgeschlossen.
6. Course postponement / course cancellation
If a course needs to be postponed for reasons beyond the control of schiesskurs.ch (e.g., shooting range closure, cantonal or national regulations), a new date will be set. If the participant is unable to attend on this rescheduled date, they can cancel their registration according to point 7.
If the course is cancelled by schiesskurs.ch without offering a replacement date, the course fees will be refunded 100%.
7. No-show / Withdrawal / Course cancellation
If a course participant cancels their course registration and thereby withdraws from the contract or does not attend the course, the course fee will be refunded as follows:
- 90% of the course fee is charged for cancellations made more than 21 days before the course begins;
- 50% of the course fee for cancellations made between 21 and 10 days before the course begins;
- 0% of the course fee for cancellations within 9 to 0 days before the course starts or in case of no-show;
- If the course fee has not been paid after binding registration and the participant fails to attend the booked course without excuse, the course fee is still owed;
- A free cancellation of the registration is possible if the course participant provides a binding substitute;
- Any deviations from these rules are described in the course descriptions;
8. Recording of photo and video recordings
Taking photos or videos is prohibited during the courses.
9. House Rules / Contents
Participants must adhere to the applicable house rules of the shooting range operators and the instructions of the course instructors.
The content and duration of the courses, as well as the selection of instructors, are determined by schiesskurs.ch. Course times are announced by schiesskurs.ch.
10. Insurance and Liability
- Use of the facilities of the respective infrastructure is at your own risk. Schiesskurs.ch and the course instructors accept no liability whatsoever for damages resulting from an accident, injury, illness, theft, or damage to valuables.
- The course participant is required to have valid personal liability insurance with a minimum coverage of 5 million.
- The course participant must be insured against accidents (NBU/NBUV) (usually through the employer).
11. Place of jurisdiction
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from or in connection with this contract is the registered office of 2protect GmbH in Zurich.
